Can A Book Be The Ultimate Business Partner

There is no question about it, handing a client or potential employer a business card is becoming less and less effective. What does a business card say about you anyway? It does not matter if you are just entering the working world or you are a seasoned professional, more people are competing for the same positions then ever before. To succeed in the real world you must find something that says a little bit more about who you are then your name, address, phone number and where you are currently employed (if you are employed). Of course a resume is a must have at any interview, but then again everyone has one. You must provide that one tool that will always close the deal or impress the employer enough to hire you and that is your own book.

Studies have shown that more employees and clients are more impressed with specific candidates that have written their own book. Not just any book, but a book based on ones own expertise on the subject in which they are applying for or promoting. A book is the perfect way to tell an employer that you know more about the position then any other person. It tells potential clients that you are an expert on what you are selling.

Consider this example:

Rob Dunn is an educated computer engineer who was recently laid off from a computer software company due to down sizing. He is on the job market once again and has to find a way to get back on his feet. While looking for jobs, Rob wrote a book about the world of computer engineering. He self-published his book through a local publisher and printed off a few copies. The interviews were coming and going, but with no reply, Rob was about to give up. At his last interview Rob remembered that he had left one of his books in the bag beside him. When the employer asked him a question, Rob pulled out his book and said, “instead of telling you the answer, I will show you the answer.” Now that Rob has proven to the employer that he not only knows what he is talking about, but is also an expert on the subject, he has a better chance of getting the job then anyone without a book.

Although this is a made up scenario, real success stories like this are happening every day. Books have officially become the new business cards. They are crediting their authors with their expertise in their field and allowing individuals to whiteness their success.

If you are holding back from creating your own book because you either can’t write or you don’t have the time or patience, you are not alone. There is a reason why so many people shy away from writing their own book, but many people do not understand how simple it can be. There are thousands of freelance and ghost-writers out there that are ready to help. http://www.Perfectpublishingsystem.comis a great place to find free training and guidelines on where, when and how to get started on your book writing journey. It is the best way to learn how a book can truly boost your personal and professional life as well as your credibility.

Remember, your book represents who you are and how you can affect your field. If your book is poorly written, not edited and not marketed correctly it will reflect poorly on you. However, if you take the time and effort to make sure that your book is well written, it will be the best ally you will ever have.
